The Beta Registration FAQ (Read before posting)

1) I can't log into the beta registration page using my account info!
You must register a new account at the beta registration page using this link; do NOT use the information you use to log into these forums.

2) I did not receive an email inviting me to register for beta!
Check your spam/junk folder, and ensure that *@cheyenneme.com, *@stargateworlds.com, and *@firesky.com are on your allowed list. Alternatively, you can register directly at this link.

3) I haven't received my confirmation email!
Check your spam/junk folder, and ensure that *@cheyenneme.com, *@stargateworlds.com, and *@firesky.com are on your allowed list. You can also have the confirmation email resent to you at this link.

4) Account ID has no bearing on when you'll be invited to beta.
Lower or higher does not matter. That information really shouldn't be shared; as it's a proprietary identifier used internally by CME.

5) When will beta invitations go out?
Invites are supposed to go out soon (tm).Keep an eye on these forums, as well as your email for future updates regarding beta updates.

6) Have your dxdiag file handy, as it will most likely be required at some point in the near future.
To obtain your dxdiag.txt file, follow these instructions: Press Start on your toolbar, select run. Type dxdiag, then select OK. Then select 'Save All Information', then select the location (desktop, My Documents, etc) to save the file in.

7) If you receive an error message stating the user name is already taken, it could be one or more things at play.
Either someone has already used the name you're trying to register -or- you're using an invalid character such as ', ", #, etc. This isn't your character name, or your forum name. Pick something familiar to you and easy to remember, and do not tell anyone your log in information. This, like forum accounts, can and will be tracked for security. They have pretty harsh penalties for sharing log in information or creating multiple accounts (2 year ban from the forums for creating ghost accounts for padding guild rosters on the guild forums, for example).

8) The beta registration is not a guarantee into any tier into beta.
It is only an application for consideration for beta. Nothing more.

9) If accepted into beta, will I be required to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement?
Yes. And you must be 18 years or older to participate in beta due to legal requirements of the NDA regardless of the country in which you reside.
You most likely cannot tell anyone you are in beta, you DEFINATELY cannot release any information that is NDA protected. Doing so will result in removal from beta and possible legal ramifications. The only avenues in which beta can be discussed after acceptance into beta (and signing the NDA) are the beta forums, in game, and any other avenues which are provided by CME, Firesky, and/or MGM. You will be notified of these avenues when and if the time comes. You cannot discuss beta outside the avenues provided by CME/Firesky. Not your guild forums, not fan sites, not game blogs.

Good info, one note, sometimes you have to wait a few moments after running DXDIAG for it to check your system before you save the information.

Yeah, what Geras said - you can duplicate the information and use the same username and password to create the NEW account. Just don't try to use it to log in if you haven't created an account yet.

i wonder how many of those who just registered are not 18 yet. guess it makes it a bit more likely to be chosen if you are over.

Are apostrophes in that category because I am having this issue also..I thought someone else registered the name before me..It's Stargate, you should have anticipated this. All the characters in the Stargate Universe have at least one apostrophe in their name (almost all ).

ok...i am pretty sure that i have 3 computers now that can run it. the first is my main computer and the other 2 are my laptop and my wife's laptop.

the question is will i need to have 2 beta accounts if i want to run it on either my laptop or my main computer or can i load the same on both. My wife's laptop is pretty uber so she can handle her own....LOL

If you both want to play then two beta accounts will be needed. If you get selected and she does not by most TOS she is not allowed to play using your account. But if you want to play on her computer you can load the application on her computer and play off there, and Visa versa.

6) Good to hear that, since in AJZ's post also included previous beta experience will we also still have to fill in a form with games we beta tested before or you guys just skipping such a thing and going by what's scattered around the forums?

Closed beta will likely fall under NDA. Open beta likely will not.

Open beta NEVER falls under NDA because it is open ANYONE can play it whats the point of an NDA in a game anyone can play.

i would highly doubt it, since we're not deep into closed beta.

it is always a cost benefit analysis in business... would the cost of validating age or enforcing the NDA be worth the benefit derived from that action? A lot of times the sad answer is no.
