Answer: You must make a new account the system is not linked to the forum system.

And check your spam/junk folders for the email, too. It may take up to 1 hour to get there."

So if you can all pass those tips along to people you find in the forums asking these questions, or your guildies, or your friends, or your relatives, or random strangers, that would be great. Thanks.

Unhappy RE: Missing Activation E-Mail...

Alright. I'm having the same problem as a few other people. The activation e-mail never arrives. It just seems to get lost somewhere between the e-mail server and my system.

I'm using yahoo mail and it never made it. Not even into my spam folder.

I've also requested a new one.

Just wanted to let people know the e-mail system seems to still be buggy.

100% Guarantee if your using hotmail etc, i'd get rid and find a useful one

Exactly

We'll all get in at some stage, just some sooner than later Although replying to the above, i would have thought gmail woulda been on of the good ones, my orange one (formerly freeserve) seems fine.

If your having probs with any others, i'd suggest oranges website for free email, if just for SGW

So what's being told to us is that if we have At&T Yahoo, Gmail, or Hotmail we don't get a validation? I know that my spam filters are off and have checked all the folders to be sure. Resent the the validation several times for each one and still no joy. Help?

I am having the same problem as you all are. I have been trying to get it sent to my yahoo account now for 2 days and still nothing. I tried resend the email 3 or 4 times and I was hoping that someone had come up with something better than me. I have the spam open and have deleted a billion junk mails but it still hasnt come up yet. Heres to hoping they get it figured out soon. I really would love to be considered for beta testing.

I'm just glad that its not only me. I signed up on Wednesday and still never got it. I thought maybe it went into my junk so I resent and didn't get it. I'm trying to remeber the other mail providers and I'm having trouble with it. The ones listed with the problems are the only ones I can think of.

I have Yahoo and everything worked like a champ. So if you're having problem and you're on Yahoo, it might be elsewhere.

If it helps I'm not using the new Yahoo mail client I'm using the old standard.

Thunderbird is a email client, not a service so that doesn't matter. Would be nice though, huh?

FYI: Thunderbird is miles better than MS Outlook or Outlook Express. Much better security. Firefox and Thunderbird are what you want to use for your web surfing and email. (I don't work for them but have been using it for many years and I am a big security freak. lol)
