CME New Beta Selection Process!

Stargate Worlds Community,

In efforts to improve our beta selection process, we have altered the way that users apply for beta. In order to be eligible for beta selection, we need more information from you! Mainly, we need to know about your computer and its system specifications. Stargate Worlds, like all games, has system standards that affect the playability of the game. Throughout upcoming beta phases we will be using your computer information to make decisions regarding your beta testing application.

Not all of us have powerful systems, we understand that. Part of beta testing for a video game such as ours requires multiple computer configurations to be tested. So if your system is not “top of the line,” don’t worry about it – we have a need for you!

For users with existing beta application accounts, we need you to do a few things in order to be eligible for beta selection:
  • Head to Stargate World’s Registration website at https://register.stargateworlds.com/Registration/
  • Click Manage Account and enter your username and a password. If you have forgotten your password, please use the password resend feature.
  • At the bottom of your account profile, you will see a line about Dxdiag.xml uploading. Please click where it says “Click Here.”
  • Once there, follow the instructions and the screen and please upload the output dxdiag.xml file to our system. You will get a green text confirmation if your upload was successful. All done!

For new account registrations, you will have to fill out your account information and click submit. Once the account has been created, you can upload your dxdiag.xmil via your account management menu.

Note: Depending on your OS, the instructions on the dxdiag.xml may be different. For example, if your OS version does not have a run option, please use the search field instead.

For the two most common operating systems the instructions to run dxdiag are:

Windows Vista
: Type "dxdiag" in the search field in the Start menu. Once the diagnostic has run you will find a button at the bottom of the screen to "Save all information". Save the file and then upload it to the beta account management site.

Windows XP
: From the start menu, click run. Then type "dxdiag". Once the diagnostic has run you will find a button at the bottom of the screen to "Save all information". Save the file and then upload it to the beta account management site.

See this thread for a graphical "How To".
