Stargate Universe Pilot will contain footage of SGW

I was reading some stargate news on gateworld.net when a small part of an article caught my eye

Looks like SGW will be in the pilot episode of SGU, the pilot is called "air" and the show starts October 2nd on syfy.

Update: I recently talked to Darren Sumner of gateworld.net and asked him about SGW's cameo in Stargate Universe. He told me that the SGW’s cameo appearance is going to be of a character running and it is supposed to be a quick shot.

that's the best hook ever. "play sgw and be recruited in the sgc". Cant wait sounds like a cross promotion and big news coming soon hopefully.

Interesting find Aaron.

However my concern with it is, the episode is described as the pilot. Some, and I stress some, pilot episodes are never aired (until they hit dvds), simply they are for executives of tv channels, and the actual first episode is either based off it or based off what might happen next, with certain 'flashbacks' to that episode.

Here's hoping it is included though.

No its in the episode. Its how SGC recruit there scientists, they put in a puzzle and if your smart enough to solve it you get recruited.

Well there's a 'pilot' which people just use to mean the first episode, and then there's the pilot you're reffering to which I believe is made well before the producers are given the money and 'go-ahead' to produce a whole season.

Then of course there are pilots...

Anyone seen The Last Starfighter? Way back in the day. Anyway, he is recruited as a starfighter when he gets the high score on a video game. Soundds sort of like a copy on SGU's part but oh well. That movie is old enough most people will not have seen it.

correct. I believe what kadeal posted was a screen capture of the hack minigame in a video.
