Does anyone know if CME got the investors?

I don't know what's going on, but next is my opinion.

In my opinion, game developers has stoped, because not enough money/people anyomore work with SGW. So, basicly most of developers are in forced vacation, while some company employees are trying find funding (investors) for the game.

That's what I think is going on. Of course anyone with better knowledge, than my quesing can correct me.

I'd say, if they got the money, their first concern will be to get the band back together. And once they do and they continue with development, they'll inform us. Don't forget, not everyone lives in Arizona and not everyone can just leave everything they're doing, just because they've suddenly come up with the needed money to continue. It might take a while before we get to hear anything at all.

Though Khestral could tell us, I think from their perspective it'd be better if they waited. Once we hear that everyting is okay, we'll start throwing out lots of questions about what happened and what is going to happen from now on and as I said they'll need time to reorganize production. At least that's what I think.

If or when CME gets money their priority would be to pay back companies that they owe money to (some of these have brought CME to court including company that hosted the beta servers (the reason why there has been no beta)). If they have money left over they have 4 months of back wages to sort out and then they might people who went on leave ( Chris Klug, Shane Hensley etc.) to come back and work on SGW and when they do that they can rehire. But I bet this will require some serious reinvestment from the investors and people aren't willing to throw money around anymore because of this recession.

so i own SGW now and theres gonna be some changes.....

1. all classes are to be replaced with jedi
2. traditional turn based combat is to be replaced with a revolutionary new system utilising the mats from dance dance revolution
3. the cake will not be a lie but instead a packet of cake mix will be included in each box
4. people who pre-order will receive a picture of aszreal in a tiger print thong

As for the problem at hand, the only thing we can do is...
nothing, there is absolutely nothing we can do and all this speculation can accomplish is zilch, they will tell us when they tell us. Take a break for a while and come back, maybe take a knitting class or go to a Buddhist temple and channel you inner being.

By the time you come back everything will be sunny and covered in daffodils or...
you will get an error saying webpage does not exist...

either way one of the two will happen

Hi all--quick update. A lot of people are on leave right now (including myself) but the guys showing the game to investors and upper management are all there trying daily to get us re-started.

My understanding is a significant portion of the funds have been raised, but it's one of those situations where everyone involved (us and the investors) want to make sure there's enough to cover all our needs. To be clear, let's say we need X million. If someone puts in $100,000 right now, that's great and much appreciated, but it doesn't get the game shipped and that investor would lose his money if the rest isn't raised in the long-term.

Needless to say, every single investor does substantial due diligence due to the delay of the game and negative press we've received. A significant number *have* pledged money on completion of their research into our books, however, so I find that very encouraging.

Otherwise, it's an ongoing process and there just won't be much news until then, but the day we return to full operations I'll let everyone know. In the meantime, thanks very much for your support and well-wishes.
