This doesn't explicitly answer questions people have asked recently but we have to respect that he has told us everything he actually can. At the very least it gives everyone a grasp of the situation as it lies today (no big changes, but it does seem to me there is a lighter air). Anyway, everyone can make their own conclusions from this. Don't shoot the messenger ![]() Last edited by Cyaneyed : 08-10-2009 at 09:41 AM. |

This makes me feel oddly complacent.
At least Tim Jenson and CME still exist =) |

From this it reads like we have no money but hope to produce some other "products" first to make up the funding to finish Stargate Worlds.

A Furling Plushie - They would send some cloth and a bunch of Plush Stuffing all unassembled, so we would still not know what a furling looks like.

You mean I wasn't the only one that thought that? Whew!
Looks promising. (Yes, I know it was really Jim Henson)

We got the funding, we don't got the funding, it looks promising, it don't look promising.
All I know is were all still here and till someone from CME says it's over, none of us are leaving. We are Stargate Worlds. We all are, or else the lot of us would of left already. Maybe because of losing SG1 then Atlantis this game is what we need. And both sides have passionatly stated their cases. This is partly what keeps the people at CME going. So ya we have helped things move along as slow as they may be. And as long as there is a lite on deep down in that tunnel, no matter how dim it is, we'll still be here, both sides, showing our support for the game that comes.

Why the heck not? honestly i love it when people look at it like this is the end. CME is having funding issues, every company does just as this is a hugely awaited product its issues are more illuminated. to quote this from the e-mail they have "several attractive potential opportunities" which means they are choosing. Ever heard the term "beggars can't be choosers?" if they have choices and options then there is hope. It just means that with a bit of initiative and a bit of buisness sense they can turn this 'crisis' right around.

They can barely afford to keep one project alive and now they are discussing new projects, talk about running before you can walk.
Why don't they focus on SGW and try to release a decent first game. One thing at a time, you would have thought they learnt that lesson when all the satellite studios turned out to be a bad idea, apparently not. Last edited by Sonfanna : 08-10-2009 at 03:08 PM. |
