I thought it was a good episode. I liked Vala's story, it was interesting. It really showed a different side to her. However I was awed by the trailer for next week's episode. Sad that it won't be back until July, but the episode looks really good. I wonder if there going to kill someone off. If Vala is going to be a regular...what if she is taking someone's place. I doubt it, but there is a possibility.

Two of the best moments were at the very beginning were Daniel/Vala is checking Mitchell out and mitchell asked is there something I should know. And second one was like said before Darth Vader part by Teal`c. Also Started to wonder how powerfull is the staff of the Ori worrior. Is it as strong as jaffa staff also probably based on Alteran tech?

Someone needs to put *spoiler* in the thread title.

I liked the episode. It will be interesting to see how Vala's pregnancy will play into the storyline. Obviously, they're not going to get rid of her anytime soon. Unless they take the cheap way out and have the Ori "end" the pregnancy.

I was trying to recall. But I don't remember if they referrred to the sword used in Avalon as Excalibur. It's a stretch, but they're going to Camelot? Could the weapon against the Ascended be Excalibur? Maybe not a sword but still an object or device having been named the same.

Another odd idea dawned on me after watching both the Stargates. Two birds with one stone. This is also a stretch. The Wraith are obviously un-believers. Why not concoct an idea to put the Wraith and the Ori up against each other? Of course one would ask where the storyline would go for both shows. I don't know. [sarcasm]Maybe we could have a few more episodes about insects.[/sarcasm]

Hey guy`s do you think the Armors that Kull worriors used would stand against Ori worrior weapons. I think the Ori weaponry would be just as useless against the armors as jaffa staffs. Also we have killed quite a few Kull worriors we should have some of theyr armors. Not to mention that we could learn how the **** Anubis made them I mean Tartarus is now controlled by jaffa.

the episode was real good! cant wait for next weeks, just seeing that Asguard ship flying in on the clip...

I heard that vala has the baby on an ori ship and the girl grows to the age of 7 in 6 hours or so... The baby was created to be the closest thing to an ori in human form, it has all the knowledge of the ori in its head. Its meant to lead the warriors to victory over all non belivers. When the child gets older and older it starts to sound like a prior although it forms a special bond wtih its mother Vala. Daniel sneaks aboard the ship that Vala is on and Vala and daniel create a plan where they will zat the child and stop this all from happending. The plan is void and somehow Vala is shot the child runs and starts to heal her mum and daniel takes this opertunity to zat the child... does Vala survive???

The child is going to be one of the major enemies in season 10

I guess I was the only one who thought it was a tad bit too slow. With all the action in the last few episodes, I feel this one lost some of the momentum the series had built up. I suppose it was the only way to bring Vala back, and keep people interested to keep ratings up, but still... they could have ended it with someone actually finding the super gate, instead of the "we're looking for them, but will find it next episode" speech.

Oh well. We'll see.

we know that vala is going to play a part because the writers have already said she will be a major instalment

Great episode, set´s things up nicely for the season finale.

My guess( and this is just a guess as I know nothing about next season) is that the Ori will steal Vala´s baby and that causes her to join SG-1 as she searches the galaxy looking for it.

It would fit into the pattern of SG-1 writing...

The child is an Ori physical manifestation (Ori-human hybrid) and as such she is enemy. But because she's also half human, she has weak spot for her mother, Vala. SGC is for sure going to use that to gain the upper hand in upcoming conflicts.
